A Successful Christmas Party

It was a good night in the Town Hall when the Conservation Society held its annual party on December 1st. The party was well attended despite a number of our members coming down with seasonal ailments. We were pleased to welcome Amber Rudd MP., several councillors from both Rother Council and East Sussex Council. and Mike Boyd, the deputy Mayor Rye Town Council.

The Society were very grateful to Kyriacos for organising the splendid choice of wine and to Jen and David Tomkinson for the excellent food.

Our Chairman John Griffiths presented the main Conservation Society Award for the reuse and restoration of an historic building for a new purpose to Alex MacArthur the owner of Monastery.
