The Landgate Looking Better

It was very good on Wednesday to see that work has been progressing on cleaning up the Landgate. The structure already looks much better with foliage having been removed and a new flag pole proudly flying the poppy. Once this stage of the works is over we can see what we can do to get the clock and flood lights working and have a gateway to the town that we can be proud of.

The use of steeple jacks seems to have been a very good idea obviating the need for scaffolding and consequent road closures. Heather Stevenson took the following photos of the works.
